NDIS Registration Part 2 —This is part 2 of our talk about NDIS registration. Please listen first to part 1 in episode 427.

NDIS Registration Part 2

This is the second part of our talk with Astrid Rivalland and Helen Young of Legal Vision in Sydney about NDIS registration. Here is what we learned. But please listen as Astrid and Helen explain all this much better than we ever could.

You can access the episode through a free podcast app on your mobile phone to listen while driving, walking, or working.

What we covered in episode 427: NDIS Registration Part 1

Part 1 outlined the upcoming changes to the NDIS registration, changing from one type of registration to a three-tier registration framework.

We discussed how the s38-38 GST Act does not link the GST exemption for NDIS services to an NDIS registration. And how, despite all this, registration and GST are still linked as soon as the funding requires registration.

We looked at the key players in the NDIS landscape. Notably, NDIS providers, plan managers, support coordinators, and local area coordinators (LACs).

And we discussed – among many other things – how you can’t transfer a registration from one entity to another. But must create a completely new registration. This might be easier the second time around since you know what is required and might already have many of the documents you need.
